Montreal’s first, reservation only, OMAKASE restaurant. (Omakase means “Chef’s choice”) In addition to being imported directly from Japan, fresh fish is also acquired from all over the world. Our experienced Chefs meticulously select fish that suit the season, and use additional methods when necessary to maximize its umami (“delicious taste”). We make it possible to indulge in Edomae sushi, as if you were in Japan.

Qualifications:
– Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required
– Completion of secondary (high) school is required
– 3 years to less than 5 years of work experience as a cook or a chef in a restaurant is required

Job duties:
– Prepare and cook food on a regular basis;
– Prepare, cook and present Tempura, Sunomono, Nishime and Aradashi Miso Soup;
– Prepare, cook, and present Japanese style grilled dishes such as Grilled Miyazaki Wagyu Beef Striploin, Grilled Lobster with ponzu butter Sauce, Grilled Lobster with Sea urchin, and Grilled Black Cod with Saikyo-miso;
– Prepare and present Oshisushi, Makisushi, Chirashisushi, and various Sashimi dishes;
– Requisition food and kitchen supplies;
– Instruct and train staff in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food, as well as handling of food;
– Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances upon request;
– Plan and create new menus;
– Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
