Tour Guide Supervisor

Location: Banff, AB
Salary: $21.50 hourly for 30 hours per week

Qualifications:

– Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing is required
– Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required
– No specific credentials are required
– 2 years to less than 3 years in the related field(including supervisory duties) is required
– Ability to communicate in Japanese orally and in writing is asset

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

– Co-ordinate, assign and review work of tour guides;
– Establish work schedules of tour guides and procedures and co-ordinate activities to train tour guides,
– Requisition materials and supplies;
– Hire and train tour guides in job duties, safety procedures, company policies;
– Resolve work-related problems by providing Japanese tourists with solutions and/or alternative options by communicating with them;
– You may perform the duties of tour guides if necessary

Other Job Details:

Ability to Supervise: 5-10 Tour Guides

Physical Capabilities:
– Attention to detail
– This work is physically demanding, e.g. combination of sitting, standing, walking

Work Setting: Travel agency, Resort
