Salary: $17.62 hourly for 40 hours per week

Qualifications:
– Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required;
– Completion of secondary (high) school is required;
– 1 year to less than 2 years of work experience as a cook is required;
– Knowledge of Japanese cuisine is an asset.
Job duties:
– Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies;
– Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods;
– Prepare, cook and present Tempura, Sunomono, Nishime and Aradashi Miso Soup;
– Prepare, cook, and present Japanese style grilled dishes such as Grilled Miyazaki Wagyu Beef Striploin, Grilled Lobster with ponzu butter Sauce, Grilled Lobster with Sea urchin, and Grilled Black Cod with Saikyo-miso;
– Prepare and present Oshisushi, Makisushi, Chirashisushi, and various Sashimi dishes;
– Order and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment;
– Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances if necessary;
– Clean and inspect kitchens and food service areas.
