Food Service Supervisor

Salary: $19.00 hourly for 30 to 44 hours per week

Qualifications:
– Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required;
– Completion of secondary (high) school is required;
– 2 years to less than 3 years of related work experience in a restaurant

Job duties:
– Supervise and manage kitchen staff and servers;
– Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures;
– Prepare and submit daily sales reports to management;
– Establish work schedules, and methods and plans to meet the schedules for kitchen staff and servers;
– Prepare budget and cost estimates;
– Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage;
– Order supplies and beverages, and ensure a healthy level of stock is always maintained;
– Ensure food service and quality control is properly implemented;
– Address customers’ complaints or concerns;
– Interview candidates for food and beverage server positions and train new employees

Other information:
– Credentials (certifi cates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not applicable
– Work experience in Japanese restaurants and having knowledge of Japanese Sushi is an asset
– Ability to Supervise: more than 20 people
– Workers Supervised: Cook (general), Food and beverage servers, Kitchen and food service helpers
– Work Setting: Restaurant
