Salary: $20.00 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week

Qualifications:
– Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English or French is required
– Completion of secondary (high) school is required
– At least 3 years of relevant experience as a cook in a restaurant or the completion of an apprenticeship program equivalent to the Diploma of Professional Studies in Cooking (DEP) with a minimum of 1,470 hours of training (ie, a program of at least a year and a half) is required

Job duties:
– Make soup, boil noodles and prepare ingredients for Japanese Ramen noodle with minimal supervision;
– Prepare, cook, and present Japanese style deep fried dishes such as Takoyaki, Karaage, and Age Gyoza using deep fryer with minimal supervision;
– Plan menus and determine size of food portions and presentation of food;
– Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, and order them as needed;
– Estimate food requirements and costs;
– Train kitchen staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food;
– Schedule kitchen staff;
– Clean and Inspect kitchen and work areas.
