Location: Banff, AB
Salary: $17.00 hourly for 30 hours per week

Qualifications
– Ability to communicate in English and in Japanese orally and in writing is required.
– No degree, certificate or diploma is required.
– No specific credentials are required.
– No previous experience as a tour guide is required.

Job duties
– Confirm transportation and accommodation reservations,
– Communicate with agencies and/or clients for any changes in itineraries if necessary;
– Collect administration or entrance fees and handle payments on behalf of clients;
– Co-ordinate recreation activities such as walking tours and hiking tours;
– Describe points of interest, explain history or background of sites and answer clients’ questions in Japanese;
– Resolve itinerary and other problems by communicating with clients in Japanese;
– Pick up and drop off clients at hotels, airports, train stations and assist clients in check-in and check-out procedures as required;
– Provide information on Canadian tipping customs, currency exchange rates, metric conversion and other details for Japanese tourists who are unfamiliar with these customs/cultures;
– Assist clients with special needs if required
