Started by Chef Keiichi Machida in the late 90s, Kyouka Ramen has delighted locals in the Tachikawa neighbourhood of Tokyo for decades. Now, we are bringing the concept to Toronto – serving the same award winning, fresh chicken ramen.

Salary: $19.00 hourly for 30 to 44 hours per week

Qualifications:
– Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required;
– Completion of secondary (high) school is required;
– 3 years to less than 5 years of work experience as a cook or a chef in a restaurant is required;
– Work experience in cooking Japanese cuisine is an asset
Job duties:
– Prepare and cook stock, soup and sauce with kelp, chicken, and vegetables for ramen dishes;
– Boil ramen noodles;
– Prepare, cook and present ramen dishes following the restaurant’s recipes;
– Prepare and make toppings for ramen dishes such as chashu (slow cooked pork) and marinated egg;
– Prepare, cook, and present side dishes such as Tebasaki Wings, Karaage, Tsukudani, and Bamboo Shoots;
– Prepare, cook, and present Donburi dishes;
– Create new recipes;
– Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food;
– Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff;
– Requisition food and kitchensupplies;
– Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances when requested;
– Train staff in preparation,cooking and handling of food
