Qualifications:
– Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required;
– Completion of secondary (high) school is required;
– 3 years to less than 5 years of work experience as a cook or a chef in a restaurant is required.
Job duties:
– Prepare and cook food on a regular basis;
– Make soup, boil noodles and prepare ingredients for Japanese Ramen noodle;
– Prepare, cook, and present Japanese style side dishes such as Gyoza, Negi Shoga Gyoza, Spicy Slow Cooked Wings, Zhangi, and Seaweed Salad;
– Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff;
– Plan menus and ensure that food always meets quality standards of Sansotei Ramen;
– Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food;
– Create new recipes;
– Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food;
– Plan menus, determine size of food portions;
– Estimate amount and costs of supplies and food items, and labour costs;
– Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory;
– Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
