Location: North York, ON
Salary: $18.00 hourly for 40 hours per week
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time
Employment conditions: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift

Qualifications:
– Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required;
– Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience is required;
– 2 years to less than 3 years of experience as a hairstylist is required;
– Ontario Hairstylist Licence is required;
– Experience and skills in permanents including Japanese hair straightening and digital permanent are an asset.
Job duties:
– Hair Colouring duties:
Streaking/highlights; Bleach; Dyes/tints; Ombre; Balayage
– Hair Styling duties:
Permanents (including Japanese hair straightening and digital permanent); Iron waving/curling; Spiking; Roller setting; Pin curls; Blow drying; Hair braiding; Updo
– Hairstylist Specific duties:
Clean and style wigs and hair pieces upon request; Suggest hair style compatible with client’s physical features or determine style from client’s instructions and preferences; Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair; Analyze hair and scalp condition and provide basic treatment or advice on beauty care treatments for scalp and hair; Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair
– Additional duties:
Book appointments, Shampoo customers’ hair, Perform receptionist duties, Maintain and order supplies, Teach/train newly hired staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures; Provide hair treatment
