Salary: $20.00 hourly for 30 to 44 hours per week

Qualifications:
– Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required;
– Completion of secondary (high) school is required;
– 2 years to less than 3 years of work experience as a cook is required.
Job duties:
– Prepare, cook, and present hot and cold appetizers and dishes such as Japanese style salad, miso soup, and Tataki;
– Prepare, cook, and present Japanese style deep fried dishes such as Tempura, Karaage, and Tonkatsu;
– Prepare, cook, and present Japanese style grilled fish and meat;
– Prepare, cook, and present Japanese style noodle dishes;
– Prepare and present Sushi and other rice dishes;
– Prepare Dashi (Japanese stock);
– Plan menus and determine size of food portions and presentation of food;
– Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment;
– Estimate food requirements and costs;
– Order supplies and equipment;
– Train new staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food;
– Clean and Inspect kitchen and work areas.
